What is ChemiMED?

What are the potential side effects from androgen substances?

Pharmaceutical androgens (steroids) and supplemental androgens (pro-hormones, pre-steroids, and steroidal precursors) can raise blood androgen levels to many times the amount of normal production of only 4-7 milligrams of testosterone per day. Extra androgens will effect the bodys normal balance and reduce normal production through the negative feedback loop of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. It is estimated that the shut down of normal production begins after about three weeks of supplemental androgen administration. This hypogonadal state is characterized by decreased serum testosterone levels, testicular atrophy, and impaired sperm production. Excess testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) adversely effecting;receptor cites in the prostate causing enlargement; hair follicles resulting in baldness, and; sebaceous glands causing oily skin and acne. Excess testosterone can also be converted into estrogen (aromatization) which can cause increased fat deposits and gynecomastia (feminization of the breast tissue). The positive news is that most of these effects are reversible.


How do supplemental androgens effect the liver and heart?

Anabolic steroids and steroid precursors are processed on the surface of the liver cell. The necessary enzymes and conversion conditions exist on the liver cell surface where a significant amount of other metabolic functions also take place. The chemical reaction involved in androgenic substance metabolism can be very harsh and toxic to these cells potentially causing adverse complications. There is much controversy surrounding steroid and pre-steroid use and the potential for long term side effects. Many steroid advocates state that when used properly these substances are safe. But, there are three undeniable facts (1.) these substances are metabolized on the liver cell, (2.) there exists some toxicity caused by these reactions, (3.) long term use without cycling off or outright abuse has led to cases of serious and sometimes irreversible organ damage. So, given these facts it makes perfect sense, regardless of what you may be taking, or how much you are taking, to protect your vital organs and maintain the healthiest environment you can.

Androgen use can also effect heart tissue. Some long-term steroid users experience elevated cholesterol levels and a reduction in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. This may lead to future heart related complications.



What are the potential negative effects on the body from training?

It is hard to believe, but there are some negative metabolic consequences to training. Athletes require greater amounts of food to be processed for energy and greater oxygen consumption to fuel cellular metabolism. With the increased metabolic and oxidative demands (the bodys use of oxygen in energy metabolism) comes an increase in molecular by-products. These by-products, or cellular waste, must be removed from the muscle cells as they are created. Lactic acid is one of the most familiar by-products of glycogen metabolism. Every athlete knows about lactic acid, as it is the chemical that causes the muscles to burn and fatigue during intense activity. This is only a temporary condition eliminated by rest or a lowering of the exercise intensity. But, there are other by-products that damage cells that dont readily make themselves known. These rascals are called free radicals and are basically free floating unattached oxygen molecules. These highly reactive molecules are formed during cellular metabolism and will bounce around cells destroying cell membranes and damaging DNA. This is not what you want especially if you are trying to build up and increase muscle tissue size.

The body has anti-oxidant defense mechanisms that attach to and neutralize free radicals, but increased metabolism can overload these defenses allowing the free radicals to damage cells and potentially lead to cellular death. Common aging signs, fatigue, wrinkles, low energy levels and many other conditions are often due to free radical damage. Athletes by the nature of their activity are subjected to increased oxidative stress and free radical damage. When combine this oxidative cellular stress with androgenic metabolism you have a perfect recipe for cellular degradation and adverse health conditions.

What if I dont take steroids, pre-steroids, or prohormones, do I still need ChemiMED?

Certainly, what you are about to discover is that ChemiMED has two significant properties. First it is formulated to help increase the natural production of the anabolic hormone testosterone while suppressing the formation of estrogen. These substances are:

Tribulus Terrestris a gonadatropin-like substance that stimulates Leutenizing Hormone (LH) secretion from the pituitary gland. LH stimulates the Leydig cells of the testes to jump start natural testosterone production.

Zinc Monomethionine (ZM) Co-factor mineral in its most bioactive and chelated form to support increased reactive testosterone production. ZM also protects vital bio-molecules from oxidation and reduces superoxide free radicals to increase anti-oxidant protection.

Beta Sitosterol - a phytosterol that inhibits the conversion of testosterone to DHT to minimize prostate complications, and; blocks estrogen receptors reducing aromatization effects.

Silymarin a nutraceutical substance that detoxifies and protects the liver cells by blocking the entry of toxic substances from damaging or acting on the cellular membranes. Also stimulates protein synthesis thereby accelerating the regeneration process and production of new liver cells.

How should I take ChemiMED?

We recommend that you use a minimum of two weeks wash out cycle between on cycles. This means you should stop taking androgenic substances during this period and start the two weeks maintenance cycle with ChemiMED.
