What is SecretaGAIN?

SecretaGAIN- is an exclusive product innovation that stimulates the endogenous (from within) release of human growth hormone. What do human growth hormone and IGF-1 do?

Growth hormone, also known as somatotropin, is a protein hormone synthesized from about 190 amino acids and secreted by cells called somatrophs in the anterior pituitary gland. It is a major hormone responsible for growth and metabolism.
The major role of growth hormone in stimulating body growth is to stimulate the liver and other tissues to secrete IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor-1). IGF-1 stimulates both the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts. Myoblasts are parts of the muscle fiber, and proliferation refers to the rapid growth and multiplication of the myoblasts. It also stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues. IGF-1 is one of the most potent anabolic hormones in the body!

Growth hormone and IGF-1 have major roles in protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. This is metabolically significant to the athlete in that these hormones influence protein for growth, fatty acids and body fat reduction, and carbohydrates for energy and recovery.

Growth hormone stimulates the anabolic amino acid uptake, increased protein synthesis and decreased oxidation of proteins. The more amino acids utilized by the cell and the greater the protein synthesis, the greater the muscle growth.

Growth hormone enhances the utilization of fat by stimulating triglyceride breakdown and oxidation in adipocytes (fat cells); and hGH helps to maintain blood glucose within normal ranges.

Growth hormone is said to have anti-insulin activity, because it suppresses the abilities of insulin to stimulate uptake of glucose in peripheral tissues and to enhance glucose synthesis in the liver. For this reason, hGH stimulators should be taken on an empty stomach and specifically should not be taken with highly concentrated glucose drinks.

In humans the amount of growth hormone secreted at age 20 is about 500 micrograms, at age 40, 200 micrograms, and at age 80, only 25 micrograms. The fall in IGF-1 is identical. hGH and IGF-1 production can be increased significantly by the stimulation of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GH-RH) by the pituitary gland, suppression of somatostatin (a feedback hormone that acts to block the release of GH), and increased activation by the secondary messenger 35-cyclic ester of AMP (cAMP).



How does SecretaGAIN work?

SecretaGAIN is formulated with two scientifically derived multi-synchronized secretagogue stacks. Our scientific staff has named these stacks the Somatroline Complex and the Adrenavol Complex. Together these two complexes influence hGH release and GH-RH stimulation, and inhibit the down regulators to create a positive anabolic muscular growth environment.

Stack #1 - Somatroline Complex

Somatroline Complex is a proprietary complex of specific secretagogue substances that stimulate the release of GH-RH and hGH. 2-Amino-5-guanidinopentanoic-5 oxo L-proline and its companion 2,6-Diaminohexanoic acid are highly specialized fractional components of protein that stimulate the somatroph cells of the anterior pituitary gland to secrete increased levels of hGH. These specialized substances readily clear the blood brain barrier and act directly on the mechanisms that influence the pituitary gland to secrete hGH. Simultaneous administration of these highly bio-active micro protein elements causes pituitary secretion of hGH that peaks 90 minutes after administration. Clinical evaluations have shown plasma hGH levels increasing by as much as 700% after 90 minutes. Basal hGH levels increased from slightly over 12 ng/ml to over 90 ng/ml after 90 minutes, and after 8 hours plasma levels remained elevated at over 45 ng/ml.

Stack #2 - Adrenavol Complex

Adrenavol Complex is another proprietary complex that effectively suppresses somatostatin, the feedback hormone that decreases free hGH release and increases cAMP levels to influence GH-RH and increased release of hGH.

Alpha-GPC (alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine) is a precursor to acetylcholine, which is the most abundant neurotransmitter in the body and typically very low in hard-training athletes. Low acetylcholine levels are directly related to high levels of somatostatin. Thus, higher levels of acetylcholine and lower levels of somatostatin result in higher levels of growth hormone.

Coleus Forskholii (forskolin) has been shown to increase the biological amplifying system by increasing the synthesis of the 35-cyclic ester of AMP (cAMP). cAMP is generated from ATP by the action of adenyl cyclase that is coupled to hormone receptors by G-proteins, a binding protein. GH-RH acts via cAMP to promote the synthesis and release of hGH from pituitary glands.



I have heard that liposomal secretagogues are the only effective delivery methods. What is this all about?

Liposomal basically means that there is an active substance that is encapsulated by liposomes to improve the bioavailability of the active ingredient. There has been much discussion about the effectiveness of oral secretagogues and the differences between powders in the form of capsules and liquid sublingual (under the tongue) liposomal delivery methods. Oral powder (capsule) delivery does have to clear the gut and be absorbed into the blood stream. Clinical evaluations have proven that oral (capsule) administration of these highly specialized micro protein elements enables maximum absorption into the bloodstream for optimal effectiveness.

There is no question that sublingual liposomal delivery is effective. However, the bottomline to this controversy is that we have not seen any significant difference between either method with regards to effectiveness or results. Both delivery methods work and both methods produce results. I see Coleus Forskholii in weight loss formulas. Why is it in SecretaGAIN?

Coleus Forskholii contains the active substance forskolin. Forskolin is a powerful substance that acts as a biological amplifier. This means that it influences substances that dramatically influence subsequent actions. Our extensive research into this compound shows that forskolin influences the 3,5-cyclic ester of AMP generated from adenyl cyclase. Adenyl cyclase is the enzyme involved in many reactions including increasing basal metabolic rate and hGH release. This is an example of how the body has millions of interrelated metabolic actions and affecting one may effect many other systems down the line.



All the secretagogue products and GH releasers I have seen are simply amino acid complexes. Why is SecretaGAIN different?

The most important distinction and an example of our advanced science is the addition of stack #2 Adrenavol Complex. This stack works to keep hGH levels high by suppressing the down regulators. This keeps hGH levels elevated when the body would ordinarily sense high levels of hGH and decrease secretion in a natural balancing act. Are there any adverse side effects?

The potential for adverse side effects is dramatically minimized by secretagogue formulations that promote increased endogenous production of hGH and IGF-1 versus injected growth hormone. The reason for this is that you are stimulating a greater production of an already natural process that typically decreases with time and age. Stimulating your somatrophs to produce more hGH is a safe technique for increasing hGH. Conversely, taking injections of human growth hormone completely bypasses natural processes and could in fact cause further suppression of natural production by influencing the feedback mechanisms responsible for detecting and suppressing hGH production.

Side effects associated with extended use of injected hGH are potentially increased bone formation, i.e., thickening of the jaw and forehead, and increased connective tissue formation. However, these side effects have not been associated with endogenous hGH releasers.



How should I take SecretaGAIN?

It has been shown that the pituitary gland releases the highest levels of hGH during the first few hours of sleep. Therefore it is recommended that the product be taken immediately prior to bedtime. Because of contraindications between insulin and growth hormone, SecretaGAIN should be taken on an empty stomach with water.
