What is Testabolan?

Testabolan is a nutritional supplement in the category of anabolic/androgenic agents that influences specific hormones in the human body. How does Testabolan work?

Testabolan contains very powerful prohormone substances that the body converts directly to specific androgen hormones. This conversion causes an increase in the naturally occurring levels of these hormones in your body and a subsequently greater influence on muscular growth. One substance influences muscular growth (bulking), another influences muscular definition and vascularity, and another protects against unwanted side effects.



What are prohomones and how do they work?

Prohormones are steroidal substances that the body converts to a specific anabolic/androgenic hormone by a specific related enzyme. All anabolic steroids are chemical derivatives of testosterone. Due to testosterones short biological half-life pharmacological use of prohomones requires the steroid to be modified to slow the metabolism by the liver. Typically, oral steroids and prohormones are modified primarily by alkylation (replacing the H with a CH3 group), while injectable steroids are modified by esterification of the hydroxyl group). Basically, these modifications alter the substance slightly so that it enters the bloodstream intact, either orally, or by injection, and then by an enzymatic reaction converts to testosterone or one of the other hormones in the body.



What are the prohormone substances in Testabolan?

The first prohormone substance is Boldenoid (1,4 Androstadiene-3 alpha, 17B dione).

Leading anabolic substance authorities have proclaimed this direct testosterone precursor to be the most orally active prohormone available today. Boldenoid is a direct precursor to the anabolic hormone Boldenone, widely administered as an injected veterinary steroid. It is a powerful testosterone precursor with low to moderate androgenic characteristics. Boldenoid is highly orally bioavailable, which is most often the problem with prohormones. But, this unique compound is resistant to 17-ketosteroid deactivation, which takes place in the liver, lowering the potential for this compound to be rendered inactive. Instead, this compound and its 17 beta-hydroxal group avoid, to a large degree, hepatic metabolism to remain active and complete the conversion to testosterone. In studies measuring excretion of active 17 beta-hydrosteroids, as much as 50% of the urinary metabolites have been recovered. This is a dramatic improvement over other prohormones that register much lower scores between 5% and 14%. This means that Boldenoid has the greatest potential for oral bioavailability and conversion to testosterone of any prohormone available today.

Because Boldenoid is an extremely strong muscle builder, it possesses some aromatizing potential (as do all bulking anabolics). The positive news is that this potential is roughly half that of other anabolics including androstendione and even testosterone. The gains in muscle mass are so significant, and the conversion to estrogen and the associated side effects so minimal, this substance is the clear choice for putting on lean muscle.

Boldenoid converts to testosterone by the 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase enzyme.

The second prohormone is Masteroid (5-Alpha Androstane 3, 17B diol).

Equally important, Beta Sitosterol also exerts a powerful anti-estrogen effect, lowering cytosol and nuclear receptor values for estrogen. This helps prevent the unwanted effects of estrogen levels including the development of gynecomastia, water retention, and increased body fat. All androgens have the potential for aromatization, including testosterone. Elevated levels of testosterone are down regulated in the body by the potential conversion to dihydrotestosterone and (estrodiol) estrogen. Beta Sitosterol inhibits this down regulation and the potential associated side effects.

Beta Sitosterol inhibits enzyme 5-alpha reductase, decreasing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

The addition of Phytoroid to Testabolan is to increase the anabolic action of Boldenoid and Masteroid, and protect against the potential side effects of prostate complications, gynecomastia, water retention, and increased body fat.



Are there any potential side effects from taking Testabolan?

The most common potential side effects from taking Testabolan are those typically related to elevated anabolic hormones. How do I cycle Testabolan?

Testabolan should be cycled as follows. For athletes just beginning a training program we recommend that you start out by taking one capsule three times daily. On training days take one capsule 90 minutes prior to training. Take on an empty stomach. Advanced athletes or athletes over 200 lbs. can take up to 2 capsules three times a day. Again, on training days take one dose 90 minutes prior to training. Do this for 5 consecutive days taking 2 consecutive days off in between the on days. After 4 weeks of taking Testabolan, take 2 weeks off to let the body readjust before starting another on cycle.



Will I test positive in drug tests?

Everyone will experience different levels of increased androgen hormones from taking Testabolan, but it is highly likely that if you are to be tested for anabolic steroids or other performance enhancing drugs, you will test positive.

What are the potential side effects from androgen substances?

How do supplemental androgens effect the liver and heart?

What are the potential negative effects on the body from training?

It is hard to believe, but there are some negative metabolic consequences to training. Athletes require greater amounts of food to be processed for energy and greater oxygen consumption to fuel cellular metabolism. With the increased metabolic and oxidative demands (the bodys use of oxygen in energy metabolism) comes an increase in molecular by-products. These by-products, or cellular waste, must be removed from the muscle cells as they are created. Lactic acid is one of the most familiar by-products of glycogen metabolism. Every athlete knows about lactic acid, as it is the chemical that causes the muscles to burn and fatigue during intense activity. This is only a temporary condition eliminated by rest or a lowering of the exercise intensity. But, there are other by-products that damage cells that dont readily make themselves known. These rascals are called free radicals and are basically free floating unattached oxygen molecules. These highly reactive molecules are formed during cellular metabolism and will bounce around cells destroying cell membranes and damaging DNA. This is not what you want especially if you are trying to build up and increase muscle tissue size.

The body has anti-oxidant defense mechanisms that attach to and neutralize free radicals, but increased metabolism can overload these defenses allowing the free radicals to damage cells and potentially lead to cellular death. Common aging signs, fatigue, wrinkles, low energy levels and many other conditions are often due to free radical damage.
