CHEN: The Arousal
There are a number of different energy pathways in the body. Each pathway used is determined by the type of exercise being performed. During short bursts of exercise, stored Adensine Triphosphate (ATP) is used up quickly and Creatine Phosphate is then needed to produce further power energy. Creatine Phosphate is produced in the body by the presence of the amino acids Arginine, Glycine and Methionine in sufficient quantities. Importantly, creatine is broken down to creatinine which cannot be recycled and is excreated. Thus creatine must be continuously replaced. These amino acids are also used to overcome exhaustion, poor motivation and energy depletion.
